The Three Little Pigs

We have been reading a bunch of different retellings of The Three Little Pigs. We are using the settings in the story to create a map of the land where the story took place. (Using our mapping skills). We are really enjoying using what we know to make predictions and to help us read.  Some if the students are even challenging themselves to retell  the story in their own words. If you have a version of the story at home we would love to borrow it!

Teaching/learning from each other

Deeper understanding is the result of kids teaching kids. It is amazing watching these kids develop strategies and share their thinking so that their peers understand.

Getting ready to wave our flags

We will be participating in Music Monday.  It is a cross country celebration of music! We are going to sung "Waving Flag". We arranged our bodies to make a Canadian flag. We all held flags that represent our culture and heritage.
